Kensington Car Show

Who We Are

The Kensington Car Show is an annual community event held in historic Kensington, Maryland, that celebrates a shared passion for classic cars, muscle cars, trucks, motorcycles, and automotive culture while giving back to the local community. Founded in 2014 by Mario Bruno and organized by Kensington Service Center, the event has grown into one of the region's premier automotive gatherings, attracting more than 10,000 spectators and 150 to 200 show vehicles each year. More than just a car show, the Kensington Car Show brings together families, local businesses, sponsors, volunteers, and automotive enthusiasts for a day filled with live entertainment, food vendors, children's activities, awards, and community engagement. Each year, a portion of the proceeds benefits a selected local charity, reinforcing the event's commitment to making a positive impact beyond the automotive community. The Kensington Car Show is dedicated to preserving automotive heritage, supporting local businesses, and strengthening the community through a fun, family-friendly experience.

What Volunteers Do

Kensington Car Show volunteers play a vital role in creating a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable experience for participants and attendees. Responsibilities may include assisting with event setup and cleanup, registering show vehicles, directing traffic and parking, greeting guests, providing information, supporting vendors and sponsors, helping with merchandise or raffle sales, monitoring event areas, and assisting with the awards ceremony. Volunteers serve as ambassadors for the event by offering friendly customer service, working as part of a team, and helping ensure the show runs smoothly from start to finish.
