Étoile Performing Arts Ltd

Etoile Performing Arts Ltd is a youth-led non-profit 501(c)(3) registered in Maryland. Founded in 2025 by two high school students, Etoile promotes cultural diplomacy and social advocacy through classical performing arts guided by the belief that art can be everywhere and is for all.  

Etoile implements creative solutions with diverse partners to increase accessibility to classical performing arts in each community it operates.  In the culturally rich Montgomery County, we seek to connect local student-artists with community service: not only to give students the opportunity to fulfill their community service needs and enrich neighborhood lives by doing what they already love, but also to take classical performing arts out of traditional concert venues, straight to the public inside community hubs. 

Overseas, Etoile has partnered with government, corporate sponsors, NGOs and schools for charity and cultural diplomacy. Our inaugural initiative “Carnegie in Cambodia,” brought together world-class, live classical music concert, repatriated ancient artifacts, U.S. & Cambodian musicians, Cambodian government agencies, corporate sponsors, international NGOs and local Cambodian students.  All proceeds went to establish the Etoile Scholarship Funds for two local charities working with underserved youth.  

Etoile is committed to a youth-lead-youth model, empowering more youth to become their own agents of change through deeper and meaningful cultural, cross-cultural and social engagements as the next-generation artist-citizens.

Student volunteers use their performing arts skills —for example, in classical music, jazz, country music, ballet, modern dance, Bollywood dance, Umfundalai, musical theater, storytelling —to perform short concerts in unconventional public spaces like area hospitals, assisted-living facilities, memory care clinics, and etc.  Student volunteers who opt for behind-the-scene works will assist in programming, communications, concert productions and other administrative tasks.  All activities will be supervised by Etoile and in compliance with venue protocols and local laws.
