Who We Are
The Joshua Snyder Memorial Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that has been established to award post-secondary scholarships to qualifying graduating seniors at Northwest High School in Germantown, Maryland. Scholarships may be used for university or college tuition, IT/computer certifications, or trade certifications.
Joshua was an outstanding student athlete at Northwest High School in Germantown, Maryland. He ran cross country and track, wrestled, and played football. He was a member of the Art Honor Society and the Academy of Finance. He had a desire to help people and aspired to a career in physical therapy. Joshua was tragically killed in an auto accident in October, 2018, while on his way to his senior internship.
The Foundation sees higher education as an agent of change for individuals, families, and communities. We recognize the importance of educational attainment and strive to ensure that postsecondary educational opportunities are accessible to all who have the potential to succeed, regardless of economic circumstance or disability.
The mission of The Joshua Snyder Memorial Foundation is to provide postsecondary education scholarships to graduating seniors of Northwest High School who otherwise would not have the financial means to fulfill their educational goals.
