Who We Are
Leading the fight for the arthritis community, the Arthritis Foundation helps conquer everyday battles through life-changing information and resources, access to optimal care, advancements in science and community connections.
What Volunteers Do
Walk to Cure Arthritis is the Arthritis Foundation's nationwide signature event that rallies communities and raises funds to conquer arthritis once and for all. Join us for the Walk to Cure Arthritis and say Yes to helping create a world where people don't have to struggle to button their shirt, tie their shoe, pick up their child or grandchild or play with their friends. The event features a three-mile and one-mile course, with arthritis information and activities for the entire family. Dogs are also encouraged to attend. We are seeking volunteers to help with event set up, registration, food and beverage, course marshals, and event break down from the hours of 6:30 AM to 11:30 AM. FREE garage parking is provided for all Walk volunteers and participants at Nationals Park. Want to participate? Register by visiting, www.walktocurearthritis.org/metrodc. It's free to register. When you raise $100, you get an official Walk to Cure Arthritis t-shirt.
