C&O Family Chess Center: USCF Affiliate

C&O Family Chess Center, a USCF Affiliate, organizes, sponsors, and operates scholastic and community chess clubs that provide chess instruction and practice at beginner and intermediate levels for students (Gr. K-12) and adults.

For more than 20 years we have operated chess instruction programs in public and private schools, and at our chess center on West Diamond Ave. in Gaithersburg. We also offer free internet play for our students through our association with a large internet chess website, on which we maintain our own groups and chess teams.  Volunteers will help with setting up/clean up class.  Volunteers will also help with supervising and basic instruction of students in small groups or as individuals. Volunteers may also be asked to fill in as a partner for students who do not have an available opponent in class.
