Who We Are
Capital Camps provides a quality and immersive camp experience to children ages 8-17 in the Mid-Atlantic region. Our teen leadership programs for rising 11th and 12th graders provide opportunities to give back to both the camp community and external community through service.
What Volunteers Do
Rising 11th grade Leaders-In-Training (LITs), learn about the behind-the-scenes functioning of Capital Camps and plan and lead engaging programs for younger campers.
Rising 12th grade Counselors-In-Training (CITs), spend time giving back to a local community as part of a service trip, then spend six weeks caring for children of various ages using skills they are learning in child development, communication, inclusion, and much more.
The LIT and CIT teen leadership programs identifies, trains, and develops future outstanding community leaders.
