Who We Are
The mission of Caribbean Help Center, CHC, is to help people create better lives for themselves and their communities by giving them relief to their problems and the promise of brighter days to come.
What Volunteers Do
With a 26-year track record, CHC has built a reputation in the Montgomery County non-profit and county government community for providing effective services to low-income residents. Our programs include: 1) education; 2) health; 3) employment; 4) immigration assistance, 5) information and referrals service 6) Food distribution, and 7) public services assistance. CHC is unique in that it is a small, grassroots organization whose staff and volunteers live and work in the communities that we serve. We also receive help from our enrollment in SSL (student service center) program. The students help us mostly with office work. Our hands-on approach enables us to get to know individuals and families and their needs on an individual basis and to gain their trust.
