Who We Are

Imagination Stage empowers ALL young people to discover their voice and identity through performing, arts education and professional theatre. All of our programs are informed by our core belief in making the arts inclusive and accessible to all children, regardless of their physical, cognitive or financial status. Imagination Stage is the largest and most respected multi-disciplinary theatre arts organization for young people in the Mid-Atlantic region. We offer a year-round season of professional shows, classes, after-school programs and summer camps for ages 1-18. We also offer arts-integration professional development training for teachers, students, schools and families.

What Volunteers Do

Volunteers will assist our Front of House team in opening the house, scanning and showing patrons to their seats, maintaining a safe and calm environment during the show, and clearing/resetting the house post show.  Volunteers can be 12-14 years of age, but they must have a parent or guardian with them while they are volunteering. Volunteers 15 years and older do not need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.  We appreciate all of our volunteers to come dressed in all black attire; long sleeve tops, pants or knee length skirts, and close toed shoes (please no crocs). Prior to the scheduled shift you will receive a confirmation email.
