We are a non-profit organization serving the Italian and Italian-American community and lovers of Italian language and culture since 1953. We organize cultural events on contemporary and historical topics and reward talented students with scholarship awards. Our special events include celebrations of Christmas and Easter (Egg Hunt) and a gala dinner in spring or fall, at which we present the scholarship awards. Our Italian Language Program, founded in 1974 offers language courses at all levels for both adults and children in four semesters throughout the year, including Summer Camps. Our innovative courses promote the language, the traditions and cultural aspects of the contemporary Italy, including cooking classes, food wine pairing, Courses + Trips, etc. We recently added Latin classes and Yoga in Italian.
Volunteers can help supervise and coordinate little kids during play activities, workshops, and annual events like the Easter Egg Hunt. They can also help prepare art and craft materials, assist teachers during small children's classes, and walk them to the restroom when needed.
