Monocacy Cemetery

The Monocacy Cemetery Company strives to provide a peaceful environment in which persons may reflect upon their departed loved ones, as well as a staff that provides high-quality cemetery services.

As a historic burial ground, Monocacy Cemetery strives to maintain its property as a beautiful setting for our visitors. There are over 5,600 burials located on 13 acres. There are many grave markers in need of conservation and with proper training and supervision, we hope to complete this phase soon. We also have many fallen grave markers. Our goal is to utilize manual means to reset the smaller-sized stones with supervision. We host four events each year to place (and retrieve) flags at the graves of our 300+ veterans for Memorial Day and Veteran's Day. Having the help of volunteers will make these tasks more efficient and help to keep our enhancement goal on schedule.
