Montgomery Ancient Mariners

The Montgomery Ancient Mariners include more than 280 adult swimmers, ranging in age from the 20s to the 80s, participate in coached Masters practices at Montgomery County, Maryland indoor and outdoor pools. The goal of the swimmers is 1) competition at the local and national levels at Masters swim meets 2) competition in open water swims 3) training for the swim portion or triathlons or 4) for good health and fitness that are the benefits of structured workouts.

We need volunteers to help as timers at a Masters Swim Meet. Montgomery Ancient Mariners is one of 1500 U.S. Masters Swimming clubs. US Masters Swimming clubs promote adult health, wellness, fitness, and competition through aquatics. US Masters Swimming has been encouraging adults to swim for more than 40 years. The club holds a swim meet each March which draws 200 competitors from around the country.
