Who We Are

The goal of Montgomery County Little League of Maryland, Inc. is to provide players the chance to learn the fundamentals of baseball/softball in a safe, positive and fun manner. Each season provides another opportunity for that player to improve not just their baseball/softball skills but also other lifelong skills such as teamwork, good sportsmanship and work ethic. It should also always be a rewarding experience for each player.

What Volunteers Do

Little League Baseball, Incorporated is a non-profit organization whose mission is to "promote, develop, supervise, and voluntarily assist in all lawful ways, the interest of those who will participate in Little League Baseball and Softball." Through proper guidance and exemplary leadership, the Little League program assists children in developing the qualities of citizenship, discipline, teamwork and physical well-being. By espousing the virtues of character, courage and loyalty, the Little League Baseball and Softball program is designed to develop superior citizens rather than superior athletes.

MCLL has opportunities for students to help further our mission of developing superior citizens through baseball and softball. During the Spring season, we need help managing two large community-based events—Opening Day, which can attract 2,000 people—and MCLL Day. Responsibilities range from helping check-in families, set up and retrieve equipment, organize players and families into groups,  and anything else required to make the events run smoothly.
