Who We Are
MCPAW stands for the Montgomery County Partners for Animal Well-Being and our mission is to support the Montgomery County Animal Services & Adoption Center (MCASAC) with programs to help the homeless pets there and in the community.
What Volunteers Do
MCPAW offers several program to help the homeless pets. Our signature program, the Veterinary Medical Fund, pays for surgeries and emergency veterinary care for pets who come into MCASAC. Over the past 5 years, we have funded specialized veterinary care for at least 40 pets who have gone on to be adopted into loving homes. We also provide enrichment items to the animals at MCASAC to help prevent boredom and anxiety while they await adoption, and we offer a free pet food pantry for anyone who is struggling financially to feed their pets.
MCPAW welcomes the assistance of volunteers of all ages to spread the word of our mission and to help raise funds to support that mission. Does your school have a club that supports animal causes? Invite MCPAW to help you! Can you do a fundraiser with your classmates? We can assist. Can you do a pet food and toy drive for the homeless pets?
MCPAW is also looking to recruit board members. Please contact us for more information.
