National Philharmonic engages, inspires, and unites diverse communities across the Washington, DC area through outstanding music performances and innovative education programs. Our vision is to To share and amplify the power of music. Based in Montgomery County, Maryland, National Philharmonic serves the metropolitan Washington, DC area, including Central and Eastern Maryland, the District of Columbia, and Northern Virginia.
What Volunteers Do
Volunteers support National Philharmonic's mission by collaborating with NatPhil at our Summer String Institutes, a summer music intensive that provides musical training to string students in elementary, middle, and high school. Students assist with institute logistics, lead rehearsals for chamber groups, help with administrative duties and learn about the behind the scenes of how an arts organizations functions.
