Who We Are
Nourish Now's mission is to solve two major social issues simultaneously: food waste and hunger. We recover fresh food and also purchase it from restaurants, caterers, farms, local government, and other licensed food providers throughout the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Food is then donated directly to families in need and partner organizations to help support their food distribution efforts.

Everyday volunteers help with tasks that are essential to our operation. Whether you’re assisting with a food recovery, unloading a truck full of catered food, gleaning through mountains of produce, packaging meals for distribution, or helping families with their donations, there is always something you can do to help at Nourish Now.
