We provide opportunities for students to earn SSL hours by volunteering at various programs, activities, and events that we offer to the church and community. We distribute "Grab and Go" bags of food on Wednesdays from 1:30pm to 3:30pm. We need assistance in bagging and handing out the food to families when they arrive to pick up food. Every 4th Saturday, from 7:30am to 9:30am, we need assistance in unloading food from a truck, bag it, and distribute it to families who purchased it through our SHARE (Self Help and Resource Exchange) Program. We also offer opportunities for students/volunteers to assist with activities such as decorating and hiding eggs for our Annual Easter Egg Hunt; assisting with Arts and Crafts, Sports, and serving meals during our Vacation Bible School, Annual Church Picnic, Hallelujah Party activities; and read to the younger children in the nursery. There are opportunities to assist the office staff with filing, copying, printing, and answering phones. We also need assistance in serving food to and assisting seniors and retirees during their bi-weekly social programs and lunch. We also need volunteers to assist with our Annual Thanksgiving and Holiday Basket and toy distributions to needy families in the church and community. There are also opportunities to assist with our Community Garden where families grow and harvest fresh fruits and vegetables.
