Who We Are

The Rockville Science Center (RCS) is a non-profit organization 501(c)(3) dedicated to inspiring a passion for lifelong exploration of science by cultivating a sense of inquiry, discovery and understanding of the scientific foundations of everyday life.

The Rockville Science Center (RCS) is a non-profit organization 501(c)(3) dedicated to inspiring a passion for lifelong exploration of science by cultivating a sense of inquiry, discovery, and understanding of the scientific foundations of everyday life.

The RSC is committed to developing a series of engaging and relevant programs for all citizens including bimonthly science lecture series, Explorations! Field Trips, engineering programs for middle/high school students, home school and after school classes, camps, adult math club, amateur Radio Club, birthday parties, Makerspace, Rockville Science Day, and much more.

The Rockville Science Center's long-term vision is to develop a vibrant facility that offers an educational forum for citizens of all ages to explore the wonders of science, engineering, and technology and relate to the scientific community of our region.

What Volunteers Do

Rockville Science Center need volunteers to staff a variety of science, engineering, and technology activities. Specific activities include teaching classes, assisting with camps, developing exhibits, supporting student engineering teams, conducting exhibits, raising funds, maintaining the center's facilities, and leading citizen science projects.
