Who We Are
We believe in Jesus Christ and our faith moves us to be good examples of his teachings and positive influences in our community. Because we follow the admonition of Jesus Christ, we believe in doing good to all mankind. Service to the poor and needy is a primary mission of our church and serving provides an outlet for fulfilling our faith commitments. The Seneca Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is a group of eight congregations located in the communities of Kentlands, Derwood, Laytonsville, Gaithersburg, Germantown, Montgomery Village and Clarksburg. The seven congregations combined have approximately 150 youth who engage in service for the community, the state and even beyond state borders through the church's humanitarian work.
What Volunteers Do
Volunteers participate in local humanitarian efforts to help our communities with specific needs. Some examples include serving the Womens Shelter, preparing emergency kits, among other items to serve those in need. Our organization works closely with other faiths and organizations to fulfill needs in our community.
