Who We Are
The United Korean School of Greater Washington is dedicated to educating students in the Korean language and culture, fostering a strong sense of identity and self-esteem. Our mission is to empower students to become balanced, contributing Korean-American citizens who lead with integrity in a global society.
What Volunteers Do
You can volunteer every Saturday from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM.
Assist the Lead Teacher: Help distribute handouts, textbooks, and stationery.
Support Students: Provide one-on-one help to younger students with their Korean writing or reading exercises.
Classroom Management: Help maintain a quiet and focused environment during lesson time.
Setup & Cleanup: Help set up the classroom before school starts and ensure desks are tidy after class.
Recess Supervision: Monitor students during break times in the hallway or playground to ensure safety.
Event Preparation: Help decorate for Korean holidays (Seollal, Chuseok) or school performances.
Tech Support: Assist with setting up laptops, projectors, or sound systems for presentations.
