Toys For Tots Montgomery County

Toys for Tots provides toys each year to needy children in Montgomery County; continuing to improve their holiday season.

Toys for Tots was started in 1947 by a Marine Corps officer who saw the need to help children in his home town in California. The Commandant of the Marine Corps then directed the reserve units across the nation to implement a similar program and by doing so, the Toys for Tots became a Marine Corps Reserve program. Last year we collected and distributed over 90,000 toys. Once the toys are brought to the warehouse, volunteers sort the toys by age and gender which are then processed to organizations that have requested assistance.
