UMAC Baseball (Upper Montgomery Athletic Club)

UMAC has been providing age appropriate T-Ball, Machine Pitch and Kid Pitch Baseball for over 50 years. UMAC stresses sportsmanship, fun and the basic baseball fundamentals.

We are 100% volunteer-run and believe strongly that all youth should have the opportunity to grow and learn the game of baseball. We accept donations of gently-used equipment anytime to reduce barriers to entry. 

UMAC hosts a recreational baseball league for local youths every Spring and Fall. Our coaches and staff are all unpaid volunteers with a passion for teaching baseball and providing beautiful facilities for all of our county children. 

We are always in need of student and adult volunteers for the following jobs:

• Coaches (must be 18 or older to assist, 21 or older to head coach)
• Field Maintenance - Perfect for Middle Schoolers and above. Help line fields, rake and repair infields after games, remove refuse and recyclables.
• Scoreboard Operator - for middle school and older. Help spectators keep up with what's happening in the game. Games are typically two hours in length. 
• Specialized trades (electricians, carpenters, masons, landscaping professionals) - we occasionally have maintenance needs to repair or update scoreboards, PA equipment, trim trees, etc. Your professional skills are always welcome. 

At the beginning and end of every season (spring and fall), we have cleanup days that offer multiple hour opportunities to spruce up the grounds, set up or take down batting cage nets, remove tree branches and debris from the walkways and perform minor maintenance jobs. Those opportunities will be posted as they are scheduled.
