Silver Spring Cares works to strengthen the Silver Spring community through the power of connection. Whether you are looking to donate items, donate funds, or donate time, Silver Spring Cares is the destination for information on community needs and opportunities for service. We believe that by engaging these diverse needs and resources of our residents, we can create a community in which all may thrive.

We help connect our community with opportunities to serve nonprofits in Silver Spring. Whether through community drives like Casseroles for a Cause, Warm Clothing Drive, Silver Spring Cares Donation program, or through our website, we seek to connect people with meaningful and creative ways to serve our community.

We are grateful for the opportunity to award SSL to local MCPS students through various volunteer work with SSC. Students have such options as participating in cooking hot meals for those in need through our "Casseroles for a Cause" initiative, or spearheading donation logistics through our "Neighborhood Ambassador" program.
