

Who We Are
We, CATCA (Capital Area Tamil Catholic Association) is a non-profit 501(c)(3), bilingual and religious organization started in January 2010. The association is a community of Tamil speaking families and individual members who live around the capital area (DC, MD and VA). The ambition of this organization is to foster the richness in bilingual culture which is based on community and family values to our younger generation.
We strive to establish a culture that nurtures love, caring and sharing for the needy. We also reach out to help children in India to get better education. We visit Old Age home every year and by providing the senior people food, entertainment and musical shows to connect and engage with them.

What Volunteers Do
CATCA (Capital Area Tamil Catholic Association) is a non-profit 501(c)(3), bilingual and religious organization started in January 2010.
The main focus of this organization is to help in Charity, enforce Leadership/Discipleship in our community, strengthen unity in promoting faith, language and bilingual culture.
Charity: CATCA provides yearly education assistance to the deserving poor students who live in India and USA. Every year CATCA sets aside specified amount to give out to qualified students. Guided by rules, charity committee receives the applications, applies rigorous vetting process and finally chooses the eligible students.
Capital Area Tamil Catholic community children use their talents to entertain, and serve the seniors in Mother Teresa's soup kitchen in Washington D.C. with deep love and respect they have for the elderly.
