The Pennyworth Shop

For more than 60 years, the Pennyworth Shop has provided an important service to the Silver Spring community by offering gently used clothing, household goods, toys, and books at affordable prices. Each year this ministry of Grace Episcopal Church contributes money and merchandise to local, national, and international social service organizations. By encouraging recycling, Pennyworth also protects our environment. The operation of Pennyworth relies solely on the faithful service of volunteers. The shop welcomes, and always needs, the services of new volunteers.

The Pennyworth Shop is a 65-year-old outreach thrift shop of Grace Episcopal Church in Silver Spring. We provide a range of low-priced clothing, household goods, toys, and decorative items to customers. Volunteers run the shop, sort and price all donations, and distribute excess donations to other organizations for use.
