Rock Creek Valley Elementary School PTA

We are a group of parents, teachers, and community members who work together to enhance the learning experience at Rock Creek Valley Elementary School.  The PTA's mission is to make every child's potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children.  We represent a wonderfully diverse student body of approximately 450 students in Grades PreK-5 at this public school that is part of MCPS's Rockville cluster.  

We organize in-school assemblies, arrange after-school activities, prepare the school yearbook and student directory, coordinate teacher appreciation days, and host a wide variety of events for family and community bonding.  

Volunteers looking for a short-term commitment can make a valuable impact on our community by helping us run events such as our annual Ice Cream Social, Family Fun Night, Family Dance, STEM Night, Talent Show, Carnival, etc.  Student volunteers can help by:

• Setting up and/or cleaning up events
• Serving food at our concession stands
• Running activity stations such as carnival games, face painting booths, or hands-on science experiments

Adult volunteers are also needed for handling exchanges of money for ticket, food, and book fair sales.
