Who We Are
As the Capital Jewish Museum (formerly Jewish Historical Society of Greater Washington), we bring history to life through walking tours of historic Jewish neighborhoods, lectures, book talks, concerts, school programs, and other activities throughout the region for children, families, and adults.
What Volunteers Do
We explore the past, present and future of Jewish life in the nation’s capital to inspire reflection, connection and action. We are in the process of building a new museum, projected to open in 2021.
