We are looking for volunteers at the school and around the race course on Oct. 16.
Ben's Run is a 5 miler, 5K and 1 mile run/walk in the Stonegate/Silver Spring neighborhood off New Hampshire Ave. Ben's Run is an annual event to raise awareness and funds for pediatric cancer research at Children's National in Washington, DC. The funds raised are dedicated to a clinical trial that seeks to improve outcomes from bone marrow transplants for children with high risk leukemia who received chemotherapy treatment and have relapsed.
Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
