Description

Volunteer with older adults and other high school students to discuss favorite graphic novels this fall at the Intergenerational Graphic Novel Book Club at the Gaithersburg Public Library with Link Generations, Asbury Methodist Village, and Gaithersburg Beloved Community Initiative. Meetings are from 6:30-7:30pm: Added dates for Summer! June 17 (book: Brownstone by Samuel Teer). July 15 (book: Hey, Kiddo by Jarrett J. Krosoczka). August 12 (book: The Infinity Particle by Wendy Xu). Books provided for participants. Earn SSL hours for your time. Please complete this form to register.

Added dates for Fall! September 16, October 14, November 18, December 16.

Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian  and must be completed outside of school hours. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
