Why Nourish Now?
Join the movement to reduce fresh food waste (+75 billion pounds each year) in the United States, and support food security for those in need (+50 million people). Through our dual mission to end food waste and hunger, we accomplish these important tasks:
- Rescue fresh food before it’s wasted helps to provide high quality donations for people in need
- Reduce environmental impacts, such as CO2 and methane emissions, caused by food waste decomposing in landfills
We accept groups and individual volunteers Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm to help in our warehouse. Projects are for groups of 5-12. Larger groups will be accommodated through multiple shifts or project days to ensure total participation. Tasks range from gleaning produce, making prepared meals and sorting through donations. Project durations vary in length, averaging 2-4 hours. We look forward to working with your group to help those in need. We also encourage groups to come with 5-10 cans per person to donate to our pantry.
