We are offering a free, two-week Summer Academic and Cultural Enrichment Summer Program designed to improve academic achievement in Literacy and Math, for about 50 students entering grades 1-5. The program aims to equip the students to become competent in literacy, math, and cultural awareness.
We are offering SSL hours to students between the ages of
13-18. Some of the service-learning activities include:
- Assist in serving breakfast to the students when they arrive between 8:30am and 9am, and clean up.
- Assist the teachers in the classrooms (handout workbooks, pencils, play games, escort the students to the restrooms, etc.
- Assist in serving lunch, and clean up.
The program is scheduled for weeks of July 27th-31st, and August 3rd-7th, 2026, from 8:30am- 12:30pm. An Orientation is scheduled for July 23rd from 10am-2pm.
Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours in a public space under direct supervision of the nonprofit organization. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
