The Rockville Science Center sponsors Rockville Science Day every year with the support of the City of Rockville and Montgomery College. The event is on Sunday, April 24, noon to 5pm at Montgomery College in Rockville. We will have over 60 exhibitors from the community, local businesses, and academic institutions. There will be science activities for the whole family including chemistry, rocket launch, robotics, water conservation, birds and reptiles. We expect to have over 2,000 visitors. This is our 31st year.
We need volunteers to help setup, work with exhibitors, control the crowd, and clean up at the end of the event. Volunteers need to to commit to the morning (10am to-2pm), or the afternoon (2pm to 6pm), or both. We also need volunteers on Saturday, April 23, 4-6pm.
To coordinate your volunteer service for this event, we need to gather more information on your interests and availability. Please go to https://www.rockvillesciencecenter.org/rsd-volunteer-sign-up and help us with your assignment.
This event will follow the COVID-19 state, county, and college guidance for events of this kind, in place at the time of the event.
