The event is scheduled to take place at SGAP Leaders Headquarters (7362 Calhoun Place, Rockville MD 20855) on Sunday, June 8 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. In case of inclement weather, the tentative rain date is set for TBD.

Just a 10 minute car ride can emit up to 9 lbs of CO2!
If we can convince 50 people to bike to work instead of a short drive just 1 time, we could save up to 450 lbs of CO2 emissions.BIKE DAY is a student-led event designed to promote biking as a safe, eco-friendly, and efficient mode of transportation. It is one of two projects created and implemented by SGAP Leaders' SUSTAINABILITY FELLOWS.
Open to students and adults alike, the all day event will feature lessons on:
1) bike safety,
2) bike maintenance,
3) environmental and health benefits of biking
Light refreshments available for donation, face painting, and penny-drop rides!!!!
Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours in a public space under direct supervision of the nonprofit organization. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
