Our workshops challenge students from different schools, regions and countries to think critically around real issues that affect real lives; as a result they develop leadership and team building skills; and through the process, they gain a voice and feel empowered. Some of our graduates have been accepted to all Ivy League Universities, interned at Picatinny Arsenal (Department of Defense), or have accepted a full-time marketing position with APPLE.
TEENS - Join our service project opportunities: beautify local community farms, feed lunch to the homeless, clean-up your local park, create gifts for seniors or sort food at a local food bank. Teens also apply to be Service Fellows and design, develop and execute their own community service projects that align with our mission.
ADULTS - We need volunteers to facilitate our Climate Action Clinics & Sustainability Challenge. These are small groups of high school students during our in-person and/or virtual workshops (will be trained). We also need volunteers to register students and schools during our in-person and virtual events, write our impact reports, or participate in/manage community service projects with students on select Saturday mornings. We have virtual opportunities for you to serve as well!
We are also seeking experts in non-profit bookkeeping and accounting, administrative support, event planning, volunteer coordinating, website/social media communication and management. Contact mj@sgapleaders.org
