It would be especially helpful (though not required) if volunteers spoke the following languages: Chinese and Russian. If you speak any of these languages, please let us know when you sign up!
PLEASE NOTE: *This is for volunteers who have attended Part 1 and Part 2 of the Senior SNAP Training*
Assist in the presentation and introduction to seniors about getting or changing their SNAP benefits. Help seniors sign up for appointments for the following week for the enrollment or change process for their SNAP benefits.
We need one volunteer for each role. Please indicate what position(s) you prefer when signing up.
Greeter - this person will stand by the door of the room where the presentation or enrollment is happening, usher people in and help them find a seat.
Coordinator - this person will pass around the sign-in sheet, make sure that names/contact information is legible, and then coordinate appointment sign-ups for the SNAP enrollment event.
Resource Navigator 1- this person will hand out information on the Manna Program, and collect any referrals to be passed on to Manna.
Resource Navigator 2 - this person will help attendees to connect with food assistance resources in the area.
Data Collector - this person will talk to attendees before and after the presentation to gather input for the survey.
You will get an email a few days before this event confirming your attendance and more details.
