Join Montgomery County Council President Andrew Friedson, Vice President Kate Stewart, Councilmembers, and County Executive Marc Elrich at the United in Service and Support Community Resource Fair. This free event is designed to ensure that all Montgomery County residents, especially those impacted by upcoming federal changes, can access vital information and resources.
The fair will feature:
· Public health and wellness resources, including reproductive rights.
· Job skills training and contracting information
· Resources to help residents understand their rights.
Volunteer Role:
We are seeking multi-lingual volunteers fluent in Amharic, French,
Chinese, Korean, or Vietnamese to guide attendees through the
available resources and ensure they have access to the information they need.
Spanish interpretation will already be provided.
What You’ll Do:
· Welcome attendees and assist them in navigating the resource fair.
· Provide language support to help attendees understand resource materials and connect with service providers.
· Support event staff with crowd guidance and attendee inquiries.
What We’re Looking For:
· Fluency in one of the following languages: Amharic, French, Chinese, Vietnamese, or Korean
· A commitment to fostering inclusive, supportive community engagement.
· Availability from 12:30 PM to 4:00 PM on December 8
