Affordable Homes & Communities (AHC) organizes fun events for residents to relax and get to know each other.
On Saturday, June 6, 2-4pm, we're hosting a caregiver appreciation event for all ages at Allium Place in Silver Spring. There will be food, games and crafts so children and adults can have fun, relax and be together.
Volunteers are needed to help with set-up, sign-in, activities, giving out snacks and clean-up. The volunteer shift is 1:30-4:30pm. Sign up using this link or email volunteer@ahcinc.org with questions.

Adult volunteers are preferred; students age 15+ who are able to follow instructions, work independently and be friendly are welcome. Volunteers will need to focus on residents and not use their cell phones while volunteering.
Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety and privacy at any time the student is interacting with the nonprofit and its clients. The nonprofit organization will determine the number of SSL hours awarded based on the evidence submitted. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns. This service activity is designed to be completed within the safety of the student’s home.
