Organization Description
Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP) is a nonprofit charity organization whose mission is dedicated to getting kids off the floor and into their own beds by providing the beds and bedding to children in need.
Event Description
Join us for a fun and rewarding afternoon as we come together to deliver and assemble beds for children in need. As a volunteer, you will join us as we deliver the parts & materials and assemble the beds in the homes of families in need. Bed parts are pre-made and very little assembly is required; therefore, no experience is necessary. Once beds are assembled, we will prepare the bed with the mattress, sheets, pillow, and blanket so beds are sleep-ready for all children.
Additionally, volunteers with available trucks or vans for transporting material are much needed and appreciated.
Purpose
Addressing the silent yet widespread issue of childhood bedlessness, we invite you to join us as we provide safety and comfort to our community children. These beds are destined for families in Montgomery County, ensuring that each child receives a complete set, including a bed, mattress, pillow, sheets, and a blanket. Upon delivery, each child gains more than just a bed – they now have a secure and comfortable space to call their own.
Your participation will make a
meaningful difference in the lives of these children by ensuring they have a
comfortable place to rest and sleep. Let's make a
positive impact and share the gift of a good night's sleep and bring warmth and
comfort to the lives of children.
