Meet with older adults at the Gaithersburg Public Library to help them access e-books, e-audiobooks, e-magazines and other library resources on their smartphones and tablets. As a volunteer, you'll get to learn about these resources and meet one-on-one with older adults to help them download the apps, set up their passwords, and login. Good communication skills and patience with explaining how to use technology are needed for this volunteer activity.
Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
