Looking for a meaningful way for your child to give back? Join us at Rocky Hill Middle School for a Snack Bag Drive, where students will help assemble bags of trail mix and other snacks like dried fruit, crackers, and nuts to donate to local homeless shelters. It’s a fantastic opportunity for students to earn SSL hours while making a difference in the community in a fun, hands-on way!
While parent supervision is always welcome, it’s not required for this event, so your child can enjoy giving back alongside their peers.
Important Note: This event involves handling food items like nuts. If your child has a nut allergy or other food-related allergies, please consider this before signing up.
Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours in a public space under direct supervision of the nonprofit organization. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
