CSA Flag Football Junior Coach – Earn SSL Hours While Making a Difference!

This spring, CSA Flag Football is gearing up for another exciting season, offering kids ages 5 to 14 a chance to develop their skills, learn teamwork, and have fun in a fast-paced, non-contact football environment. Our program is built on fundamentals, sportsmanship, and community, and we’re looking for current and former athletes to help make it a success.

Why Become a Junior Coach?

If you’re a current or former athlete who enjoys working with kids, loves sports, or wants to gain leadership experience, this is the perfect opportunity. As a Junior Coach, you’ll play an important role in mentoring young athletes, assisting with practices, and supporting game-day operations—all while earning Student Service Learning (SSL) hours.

What You’ll Do:

  • Assist coaches with drills, warm-ups, and team exercises
  • Provide positive encouragement and guidance to younger players
  • Help with game-day logistics, sideline organization, and substitutions
  • Learn coaching techniques and leadership skills from experienced staff
  • Foster a fun and supportive environment for youth athletes

Flexible Commitment

  • Practices & Games: Saturdays and Sundays, 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM
  • Location: Clarksburg, MD – Rocky Hill Middle School (RHMS) and other local fields
  • Flexible schedule – help out as often as your availability allows

Who Should Apply?

  • Current and former athletes who enjoy sports, teamwork, and leadership
  • High school students (grades 9-12) looking to earn SSL hours in an engaging, active environment
  • Former youth athletes who want to give back to the next generation
  • No coaching experience needed – just a positive attitude and willingness to help

Why It’s Worth Your Time

  • Gain valuable coaching and leadership experience
  • Build your resume and college applications
  • Make a meaningful impact in your community
  • Be part of growing a strong football culture in Clarksburg
