TDOV: A Day of Community Power & Celebration - Montgomery County Unites for Trans Day of Visibility
A Day of Community Power & Celebration Bethesda, MD – Live In Your Truth, in partnership with Maryland Trans Unity and Trans Maryland, and sponsored by The Montgomery County Pride Family, is thrilled to announce TDOV: A Day of Community Power & Celebration on Monday, March 31, 2025, at Bethesda Chevy Chase Regional Services Center, 4805 Edgemoor Lane, Bethesda, MD 20814.
This year’s theme, “We Will Not Be Silenced! We Will Not Be Erased!”, is about authenticity as resistance, community, joy, resilience, and strength of trans and gender-expansive individuals. This powerful day will be filled with intergenerational communities, bringing together trans folx, allies, and organizations in solidarity and empowerment.

Community Day of Power: 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Rally & Reception: 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM
WHY THIS MATTERS:
Trans Day of Visibility is a time to uplift trans voices, celebrate authenticity, and create lasting community impact. This event will provide a space where trans individuals feel seen, heard, and empowered while educating and engaging the broader community.

Volunteer Responsibilities
Setting Up
- Help with the setup of tables, chairs, and decorations.
- Organize activity stations and ensure all supplies are ready.
Running Activities & Hospitality
- Greet guests as they arrive and make them feel welcome.
- Direct attendees to different areas of the venue.
- Answer questions and provide information about the event.
- Facilitate and supervise activities such as face painting, crafts, games, and workshops.
- Engage participants and encourage their involvement.
- Provide guidance and assistance to ensure activities run smoothly.
Tear Down
- Assist with the breakdown of tables, chairs, and decorations after the event.
- Help clean up the venue and return materials to their designated places.

About Maryland Trans Unity & Trans Maryland: Maryland Trans Unity and Trans Maryland are organizations committed to advocating for the rights, well-being, and visibility of trans and gender-expansive individuals throughout the state.
About Montgomery County Pride Family: The Montgomery County Pride Family is a coalition of LGBTQIA+ organizations working together to foster inclusivity, safety, and empowerment in Montgomery County, Maryland.
Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours in a public space under direct supervision of the nonprofit organization. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
