We are excited to announce another Green Month opportunity to clean up a park and assist with trail mapping at Morris Park.
The Gaithersburg Parks, Arts, and Recreation Corporation (G-PARC) continues its efforts to map the trails in the City, and has planned a family-friendly outdoor activity during Green Month that will include:
· Clean-up of the park: volunteers will pick up trash along the trails of Morris Park. Trash bags, pick-up sticks and gloves will be provided.
· Trail Mapping: volunteers will map the trails in Morris Park. Volunteers will need a cell phone and walking shoes.
Those under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. We will meet in the Morris Park main parking lot (520 Summit Hall Road, Gaithersburg). SSL hours available. Water/light snacks will be provided.
Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours in a public space under direct supervision of the nonprofit organization. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
