Please join us for this Mosaic activity to support families in DC. 38% of DC's residents do not have enough food to eat, up 3% from 2023. DC Central Kitchen serves more than 16,000 meals each day to DC residents who face food insecurity.
Come join friends for:
9-12 - Volunteer in DC Central Kitchen's kitchen to help prepare meals
12-12:30 - Discussion / debrief about food insecurity in DC
12:30-1:30 - Eat with friends in DC Central Kitchen's cafe
You must be over 12 years old at the time of the event to participate.
Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours in a public space under direct supervision of the nonprofit organization. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
