Join us at Kensington Day of the Book!
We are looking for creative friends who love to draw!
The activity is helping encourage families / kids create their own "book covers"
It is a bonus if you can help make a few creative ideas to display that day!
MORNING SHIFT you will help with basic set up, learn the activity and assist the rest of the time
You will need to be dropped off near on Kensington Pkwy or Montgomery Avenue in the Neighborhood near the train station and walk over to the tented area and find the WHEATON ARTS PARADE TENT (there will be clear signage) You may also get dropped off at the Kensington Safeway, and the walk down Kensington Pkwy all the down the hill to our tented area by the Train Station.
These festivals can be busy and crowded, so always leave early to give time to travel in traffic and find our area.
Please bring your own water and a snack.
It is an outdoor event so dress properly for the days weather - you may want to wear sunscreen, bug spray, cover skin etc. all up to your needs and comfort. Please wear closed-toed sneakers or shoes - no flip flops.
