An hour of your day once a month can have a big impact on those facing food insecurity. We are looking for drivers who can transport food from the Bethesda Farmers Market on the site of Bethesda Elementary School to a food pantry 2 blocks away. You will pick up surplus produce from 4-6 farm vendors and transport the food to the Bethesda Presbyterian Church where volunteers from nonprofit Here2Help will pack it for distribution to those in need. A car is not needed but a wagon or cart and a few surdy boxes are a must for taking the food from Point A to Point B.
