AARP Foundation Tax-Aide helps to provide free federal and state tax preparation services to local residents. This is an incredible opportunity to interact with and help many people, learn new skills, or use your existing ones to make a real difference in your community.
Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls and schedule appointments using an online system.
- Make reminder calls to clients for upcoming appointments.
Time Commitment & Training
- Training: Required in-person training in mid-January and a series of online videos, totaling approximately 15 hours.
- Tax Season: Two assigned 4-hour shifts each week during the tax season (February 1 – April 15).
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills and a patient, friendly attitude.
- Good computer and keyboard skills.
- Bonus: Fluency in a second language is a plus!
- A laptop, software, and headset are provided.
