Join us on Saturday, May 16, 2026, 10:00am at the Gaithersburg Public Library (18330 Montgomery Village Ave, Gaithersburg, MD 20879) to celebrate and preserve the historic community of Prathertown!
We’re looking for a responsible and friendly Refreshment Manager to help coordinate and oversee the event’s snack and beverage area. This volunteer ensures guests feel comfortable, cared for, and refreshed throughout the day while supporting the welcoming spirit of Prathertown.
What you’ll do:
Set up and organize the refreshment table before the event begins.
Distribute pre-packaged snacks and beverages to attendees and volunteers.
Monitor the refreshment area to keep it tidy, stocked, and sanitary.
Ensure that recycling and trash are properly separated.
Assist with cleanup and waste disposal at the end of the event.
General Event Support
Ideal for: Volunteers who enjoy providing hospitality, staying organized, and helping create a positive experience for guests and community members alike.
Join us in keeping everyone energized and smiling while contributing to the success of this special community celebration!
Please Note: Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own food and water. Breaks will be included, and SSL forms will be provided. Feel free to bring canned goods to donate to our food drive. Participants should include their best contact number to be informed of any changes to this service project. There will be no refrigeration available for food items.

Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours in a public space under direct supervision of the nonprofit organization. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
