Join us on March 28 to create art cards and letters for hospitalized children, seniors, and students. Volunteers will draw artwork, write messages, and help prepare cards. These cards will be distributed to hospitals, senior centers, and youth programs to help reduce feelings of isolation and bring small moments of joy. Volunteers will get 2 SSL hours by attending and making cards/letters.
Volunteers will create homemade cards that include a fully colored drawing on the front, and a handwritten letter inside the card (6-8 sentences).
Materials will be provided, but volunteers are also welcome to bring their own markers, colored pencils, or other art supplies.
Please do not include last names or personal contact information in the letters.
Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours in a public space under direct supervision of the nonprofit organization. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
