Spend your spring break in a beautiful outdoor setting while learning about native wildflowers, park stewardship, and habitat restoration. Volunteers will work together as a team remove invasive weeds, plant native wildflowers, and tend to the Locust Grove gardens and trails.
This program is designed specifically for teens ages 14 to 17. Sign up to attend the whole week. No prior experience required - just a willingness to work outdoors!
Session dates:
March 30 - April 3
Program runs from 10:00am to 2:00pm Monday through Friday.
Participants should bring a bagged lunch and reusable water bottle. Lunch break included in the time allotted.
The Teen Stewardship experience is phone free. Volunteers can store their phones securely in the office. The volunteer supervisor will carry a phone for emergency purposes.
Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours in a public space under direct supervision of the nonprofit organization. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
