Join us for the East County Youth Block Party!
Come volunteer to table with us next week at the East County Youth Block Party while also connecting the community with nature in the Chesapeake Bay through art. This tabling event aims to provide nature art-themed coloring pages where families can stop by the table and color illustrations of local plants and animals.
What you'll be doing:
- Managing the stock of art materials and supplies
- Guiding participants in art activities as they stop by the table
- Earn up to 5 Montgomery County SSL hours by signing up for 1hr or more
When: Wednesday, April 15, from 12:30pm-5:30pm
Where: East County Community Recreation Center, 3310 Gateshead Manor Way, Silver Spring, MD 20904
To fully register, you must register on Eventbrite and select a shift or multiple shifts.
*This is not a ticket to attend the East County Block Party; this is a ticket to help The Urban Studio in hosting a table during the block party.
Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours in a public space under direct supervision of the nonprofit organization. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
